The restaurant which is located in "Machne-Yehuda' market in Jerusalem, is the result of the meeting of three chefs: Yossi Elad, Asaf Granit, and Uri Navon. The three chefs are getting their cooking ingredients from the local Machne-Yehuda market and they cook it in their fully interactive open kitchen, in front of the guests. The restaurant menu is changed daily according to what the market has to offer. Machneyuda restaurant was designed by the 3 chefs who wanted that every table will have an eye contact with the open kitchen, the plates and silverware were an inheritance from Asaf Granit's grandmother.
The various fish and sea food served in the restaurant are from local suppliers, as well as the meat (beef and lambs) that comes from local Israeli farmers. When you enter the restaurant you’ll see wooden crates filled with fresh and colorful fruit and vegetables from the near by market, While the scenery on the second floor is in a fact an open “storage room”. Olive oil, wine bottles, risotto rice, dates honey, Italian tomato tins and different spices are just some of the ingredients that decorate the shelves and open cupboards. “Machne-yuda” Restaurant has a unique and varied wine menu which gives and tasty food matched only by its electrifying atmosphere.
