Golan’s Reptiles World is a reptiles farm, owned by Golan Fadida and located in Kibutz Mazzuva,
Northern Israel.
Golan: I’m interested in reptiles for more then fifteen years. In my youth these where local Israeli snakes, that I found and researched in the wild. After a while, I began purchasing snakes from abroad, bred them and studied all about reptiles. The house I grew in, was always full of various animals and as such, was a very supporting environment for this kind of occupation. From there came my love for animals at large.
Over the years I bred a large range of reptiles and other animals. That is how my first foreign snake was purchased, from which I learnt about this fascinating world, that most people don’t know about and therefor are terrified of. Then I went to capture snakes in residential zones and bred lots of animals I purchased with time, like Iguanas Mustelas etc. After my army service as a "Golani" combattant, I went abroad to study reptiles. I spent several years in Australia and Thailand (an international reptiles center). There, with several famous professors, I learnt more about the world of reptiles and the subjects relevant to it. In Thailand I worked at a large reptiles farm with giant snakes and Cobras. There came the thought of a reptiles farm. After my coming back to Israel, I started the reptiles farm in Kibutz Mazzuva. In the farm there is a big collection of reptiles, exotic animals and pets.
The main purpose of the farm is to promote the awareness to reptiles and to bring people closer to the subject, while reducing the fear from reptiles among people. We sell, in the farm, reptiles that were born in place, as well as food and equipment for breeding reptiles. Visitors in the farm (in groups or as individuals) can closly study the fascinating way of life of reptiles including (if desired) feeding of snakes. You can have a close contact with the snakes, pet them and even take pictures with them.
The trip to the farm is a unique experience for the whole family and includes a comprehensive guidance and activities for kids in reptiles related subjects. At our place you can learn everything about reptiles, how to breed them, what they eat, what is their favorite environment, how to treat a sick reptile, how to recognise a healthy reptile and more. We do remote activities as well. birthday and other parties, discourses and instructions, suitable for all ages.
The activities are in various reptiles related subjects such as: Israeli reptiles, snake bites and how to avoid them, reptiles of the world, distribution and breeding, color innature - camouflage and courting, treatment of reptiles and more.
