We
will meet near "Mount Zion" hotel, and from there, after a quick
preparation and introduction with the guide, we will start our tour.
Tour Route
After overlooking the scenic views of the old city and the valley below it, we will
hear about the interesting military secret that this place carries with it
since 1948. We will visit "Katef Hinom" – an amazing Archeological
discovery of burial caves from about 2600 years ago. We will make our way to
the picturesque alleys of the first neighborhoods built outside the walls of
the old city, and hear about the revolutionary idea of living on the other side
of the walls.
We will enter the restored "Mamila" open mall – a place
that used to be the slums of Jerusalem and today is a beautiful center of shops
and Café's. We will pass by "King David hotel" – the place that
hosted throughout the years most of nation's leaders from around the world, and
hear about the famous incident that happened there in the 40's. Right next to it
stands the magnificent building of YMCA, with a hopeful message for peace. We
will end our tour near the German Colony. At this point we will say good bye,
