The Armon Natziv tayelet is actually made up 3 separate promenades in south-east Jerusalem. The promenades stretch from the Abu Tor neighborhood through to Armon HaNatziv and the Shalom Forest in the middle of the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It's traditional for long
tours of Israel to begin or end here because of the unmatched view of the Old City, the Mount of Olives, Mount Zion and much more. From here you can clearly see the separation between the modern, Jewish Jerusalem on the western side and the traditional, Arab Jerusalem on the East. You can also see the physical separation, the famous barrier. The promenade has many levels, places to sit in big groups, public bathrooms, and water fountains.
The best times to visit would be at sunrise, watching the sun rise over the Dome of the Rock, or at sunset when you can experience the view both in the light and at night.
