Cliff Richard (Nokia Arena, Tel Aviv, 10 Oct) The
last time Cliff Richard performed in Israel was over 20 years ago. This October
he returns singing a selection of his many hits. The ageless 72 year old Brit
is a legend in the music industry and has sold over 260 million records.
Charles Aznavour (Menora Mivtachim Arena, Tel Aviv
Concert Hall, 28 Oct) This French singing legend has sold over a 100 million
records in his long career. This will not be Aznavour’s first visit to Israel
but he will be returning with his greatest hits like “She.”
Smokie (Bronfman Auditorium, Tel Aviv, 31 Oct) The
British 1970s rock bank Smokie is best known for their unforgettable hit
“Living Next Door to Alice.” No doubt that will be one of the many hits they
will perform in Tel Aviv. Due to high demand and a completely sold-out concert
an additional concert date has been added.
Sukkot (country-wide 5-12 Oct) Israel’s national
holiday of the Tabernacle is week-long and is a school holiday. Throughout the
country there are special events and shows especially for families.
Sisters of Mercy (5 Oct) British Gothic band Sisters
of Mercy had their breakthrough in the 1980. They will perform memorial hits
like “First and Last and Always”; “Floodland” and “Vision Thing.”
Tamar Festival (Dead Sea, 8-11 Oct) This festival is
in its 18th year and is held during the Sukkot holiday. The four day
festival is an outdoor, music event in the Dead Sea region. Performances will
be by local artists and there will be activities and happenings throughout the
four days.
Future Concert (Ganei Tarucha Tel Aviv, 25 Oct) The
American rapper, Future (a.k.a. Nayvadiu DeMun Wilburn) will be in Israel for
one concert. His career as a singer/songwriter and record producer is famed for
his hits “Where Ya At” and his song “What a Time to Be Alive” with Drake.
