Beit Hapkidut, Rosh Pina

Beit Hapkidot ('Pika') was built in 1885 and was used as the residence for the Baron Rothchild's clerk and his family. The clerks job was to manage all the administration of the settlement. He was the one who handed out the Baron's money and was in charge of all the rules, regulations and fines. He was also in charge of the loans granted and was the one who had the final word on all of the settlement's issues. Today at this complex is a Hebrew college where you may view a film regarding the history of Rosh-Pina's existence.
