Diving in Eilat - The Dolphin Reef
The dolphin reef is an eco-site unique to Israel, and the world. This magical beach front offers a unique dive with bottle nose dolphins in their natural surroundings.
How to get there
Driving from Eilat towards the Sinai boarder past the civilian harbor, on the left is a large parking lot where the entrance can be found. During summer months the parking lot gets full early and so we recommend arriving early in the morning.
How to dive the dolphin reef
Because of this sites unique nature, and in order to prevent damage to the marine life and the dolphins, diving here is only permitted with an instructor. Diving activities are held from 08:30-15:00. The number of divers which enter the water is limited.
Diving conditions
The site is relatively protected which makes diving condition fair. Currents and winds do not have much influence and there isn’t much swimming to do. On rare occasions where diving conditions are bad, diving with the dolphins is forbidden.
