The restaurant at the bottom of the boutique Rothschild Hotel, on the street of the same name, specializes in fish and sea food, with no meaty dishes. The restaurant fills a niche in Tel Aviv of chef restaurants who concentrate on sea food. Go at lunchtime to take advantage of the business lunch, where you pay for the main course and get a starter, drink, selection of house breads, and even dessert. That said, the menu is pretty limited, as are the quantities, and yet the price is steep and the lunchtime deal could still have you spending well over 100 shekels. Since the popularity and demand of the restaurant has grown, so has the price, but it can’t be argued that people are still willing to pay it due the superb quality of the food.
The boutique nature of the place makes for a pleasant atmosphere, nice décor, and a feeling of exclusivity, which contrasts with the lively street outside. The service is highly professional and the dishes are expertly prepared to the highest quality.
