The Church of the Redeemer is a German-Lutheran , lies in the heart of the Christian square in the ancient city of Jerusalem, in adjacent to the Holy Sepulcher. The Redeemer is the description of Jesus in the Christian tradition and was taken for the name of this wonderful church. The church of the Redeemer was built on the remains of a big crusaders church, Which is called "Maria Latina Grande".
The church is designed in a conservative fashion : The church is lacking pictures and decorations , and only its windows are made from a very delicate stained glass created by a jewish artist from Nahariya.
You can always climb to the towers roof for a 360 degrees observation over the ancient city of Jerusalem and all for small and symbolic fee.
