Aria Restaurant, Tel Aviv

Aria is a two in one evening destination. The first floor is a cocktail bar while the second floor is a top-class restaurant. The refurbished building on Nachalat Binyamin presents its guests with a European, rustic atmosphere full of class. Diners are greeted by three menus: food, wine and a long list of cocktails. The atmosphere is contagious is conveys a feeling of being away from Israel in some quaint European town.

On the menu are some exquisitely prepared and original dishes, including a beautifully presented dish of very soft-boiled eggs on wild porcini mushrooms with smoked duck, and another dish of Coquilles St. Jacques in white almond cream and lobster foam.

As for the service, the waiters are attentive and efficient and make you feel welcome. The food is pretty pricey, with several of the starters over 65 shekels, but you certainly get what you pay for in terms of taste, presentation and creativity. The restaurant and bar is situated at the southern end of Nachalat Binyamin, in an area full of the most stylish new bars in Tel Aviv, and is perfect if you want to wander around the chic streets of Neve Tzedek to walk off your meal.
