Diving in Eilat - The Satil Site (Navy Ship)
On the spring of 94 the navy vessel "Suffa" (storm) was sunk to the bottom of the coral reef beach, which became of the Eilats most popular dive sites. On the vessel are two memorial sites in remembrance of a Navy Seal Soldier and a dive instructor.
How to reach
The site is located right beside the Hotel Reef. The vessel is submerged about 70 meters off shore at about 24 meters.
Currents
Current may accure here, which along with inexperience may cause panic. Inside the vessel, all openings were shut, to prevent risk for divers. However, since some were opened by random visitors we recommend not trying and entering it.
