Diving in Eilat - The Migdalor (lighthouse)-Eilat
Entry point
The entry point is adjacent to the southern fence of Migdalor beach. A clear rope marking indicates the entry spot. Attention! The entry is rocky and requires carful walking in and out of the water.
Dive route
There are two routes available for different levels of divers. Each route is circular.
The deep route
from the entry point, head east, and dive to app. 25 Meters, and head south in adjacent to the slope line. The slop is steep and requires good control of balance in the water. The deep end of the dive isn’t particularly rich with sea life; however beautiful table corals are visible around here which the white sand, steep slope and blue ocean provide an impressive background to. From this point, in accordance to the air supply, head up the slope and finish towards the northern part of the reef which is at 3-5 meters depth.
The shallow route
here a rather long dive is possible, towards the northern part of the caves site which takes app. 20-25 minutes to dive through. Start the dive heading south between the shoreline and the slope. During the dive some colorful rocks are visible around 4-6 meters. Since they are located farther from the usual snorkeling and swimming zones, the corals remaind relatively unharmed. To return, dive around 3-4 meters along the coastline .
Wildlife care
enter and leave the dive sites, through the marked areas, and avoid diving closely to the corals which can damage it.
Air supply
incase you have chosen the deeper dive, leave with enough air to reach the exit decompression point.
