Diving in Eilat - Coral Reef Natural Reserve

The shallow part of the reserve is made of coral reef which about 4 meters deep on its northern side and 6 meters deep on its southern side-where the underwater observatory is located. This coral is rich with small labyrinths, canyons and shallow coves which make it a perfect hideout for small fish.

How to get there:

The coral reef reserve stretches about a kilometer and a half from the underwater observatory on its southern side to the Ambassador Hotel on its northern side.

Guided dives:

Since this amazing reef is relatively shallow, diving here is suited for all levels of divers, who could choose their route in accordance to their level. However, a guided dive will ensure reaching all of the reef's hot spots.  

Current:

Between the tides some strong currents could make it difficult to reach the exit point. Since these current are not regular, we recommend enquiring with the local diving club as to how are the currents and planning your dive accordingly.
