Diving in Eilat - The Caves Dive Site
Named after 2 underwater passages (one of which is blocked) in a coral reef, which can be crossed through. This is one of the more popular dive sites in Eilat since its relative easy approach and shallow depth (around 6 meter), making it idle for novice divers.
How to reach
The caves site is located about a kilometer and a half north of the Tabba border crossing, or about 300 meters south of the Village Beach. We recommend inquiring before as to where exactly is the site.
Entrance
Entrance is strictly through the marked area. This area is abundant in sharp rocks, sea urchins. Diving shoes are highly recommended for this area, and avoiding going in barefoot.
Wildlife
The Caves dive site is a protected natural reserve, as the sign by the water clearly state. This site was badly damaged by swimmers and divers and so we urge to enter and exit where in the appropriate marked areas.
