Toto opened its doors several years ago and has gone through a circuitous path. Toto’s food was excellent at first but started to spiral downwards. However, this is all in the past and Toto has returned to its former status as the best Italian restaurant in the area. Whether it is its assortment of homemade pastas or its delicious meat courses, the food is simply superb. Along with its excellent service, in our opinion Toto is an Italian eatery worth visiting.

NG has already become a legend when it comes to food. The restaurant is located in a historically preserved building in Neve Tzedek. Upon entering the restaurant, one immediately experiences some differences. The place is small and intimate with a lovely, classic design. However, with all due respect to its décor, NG is all about meat. The menu is packed with meat so if you are a vegetarian, you have come to the wrong place. The menu is small and concise but every course is a delight to the palate. So if you are looking for a good, juicy steak, you must taste the porterhouse served at NG. Bon appetite!
Despite the fact that the chef describes this restaurant as a combination of French and Vietnamese, there is no doubt that French takes the dominant position. This restaurant is located inside a boutique hotel (Hotel Montifiore) and its standard of service and quality is difficult to beat. The staff is knowledgeable, the menu is at times adventurist, at other times conservative, the food is tasty and the atmosphere lively and fun. So don’t think about it twice. There is really no competition here and not because there isn’t an abundance of fish restaurants in Tel Aviv. It is simply that when comparing Near the Sea to any other fish eatery, Near the Sea wins out. Near the Sea is located at the port in Tel Aviv and for years, it has been considered the leader in fish restaurants. The restaurant serves as an importer of fish from abroad and that explains the high standard of its fish. What stands out is the freshness of the food and there is no doubt that is why the restaurant deserves its title.

Vicky Christina is a new restaurant in the area. It is located near the train section in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood and from the day it opened its doors, it is almost impossible to find a place. The restaurant is a tapas eatery and is situated under the sky surrounded by large trees that have stood there for over 100 years. The atmosphere is wild and happy and is accompanied by authentic Spanish music. The menu offers outstanding tapas foods including, meat, fish, fruits vegetables and more. We loved this place.

There is no doubt that Yakimono is the best Japanese restaurant in town. The freshness of the food, the creativity of the servings, and the warm service turns this restaurant into a winner when it comes to a Japanese food. The prices are high which is somewhat off putting. But like they say, “Sometime you have to pay for something good.”
