Israeli Musical Performances in September 2017
Rockfour (Zappa Club, Tel Aviv 7 Sept; James, Petach
Tikvah, 24 Sept) This mellow rock band has been producing music since 1988. To
date they have released 12 albums. They have songs in Hebrew and in English and
they tour the US regularly.
Shlomo Artzi (Caesarea, 23 Sept) This is an iconic
Israeli performer who appeals to a broad spectrum of musical tastes. He has had
a long career and endless hits which have become part of the Israeli culture.
He will be performing at the prestigious Caesarea Amphitheatre.
International Performances in September 2017
Peaches (Barby Club, Tel Aviv, 13 Sept)) This
Canadian electro-rocker will be performing for the first time in Israel as part
of her promotional tour for her latest album, Rub.
Pretenders (Menora Arena, Tel Aviv, 23 Sept) For the
first time this legendary band will perform in Israel as part of a world tour
to promote their newest album Alone. The group will be led by the only
original member of the band, Chrissie Hynde. The band was first formed in 1978
but after many years out of the music world they are making a comeback with new
group members.
Patricia Kaas (Heichal Hatarbut, Tel Aviv, 28 Sept)
This French singer will be performing her blend of pop, jazz, chanson and
cabaret. Kaas burst onto the music scene with her debut album in 1988. Today
she charms audiences with songs like Mon Mec A Moi.
Dire Straits Experience (Nokia Arena, Tel Aviv 14
Sept) See the music of iconic band Dire Straits performed on stage. The show
was compiled to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band. Included
in the show are all the greatest hits including Sultans of Swing.
Music Festivals in Israel September 2017
The Annual Red Sea Jazz Festival (Eilat, 3-6 Sept)
features jazz concerts in various venues throughout the city of Eilat. Other
music festivals in Israel during September 2017 include the Ibizibi Festival
Mitzpe Ramon featuring electro, psychedelic and indie music. The Unity
Rising Spirit Festival is a 30 hour marathon of electro, house and techno
music. The Fairy Festival is a themed family-friendly music event held
in a forest near Haifa. The Shutka Festival in Arad features Balkan,
Groove and Gypsy music.
