Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall, Jerusalem

Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall in Jerusalem is actually built of three paved streets: Ben Yehuda Street which stretches from Zion square to Jaffa Street and smaller Luntz and Ben Hillel Street. The pedestrian mall was built on 1983 after 10 years of planning and deliberations. Once built, the street became one of  Jerusalem's corner stone's for the tourist population. The pedestrian mall, which was renovated in the 90's, has many coffee shops, fashion stores and Jerusalem restaurants.

Jerusalem's center of attention "the boardwalk"- considered to be the junction of Jaffa and Ben Zion streets with Zion square in the center. This is Jerusalem city's historic business center a lively store and tourist area. Ben Yehudas boardwalk is packed with gift stores, ice cream parlors and fast food restaurants. Restaurants and pubs are mainly in Queen Shlom-Zion Street.
